Aquatic Therapy

Aquatic Therapy

Aquatic Therapy is used for relaxation, fitness and physical rehabilitation and is conducted in the water with a trained licensed physical therapist. These treatments are performed in various ways such as floating, partially submerged or fully submerged in water. Sometimes the best treatment for muscles and joints is to be in the water. Water provides a controllable environment for reeducation of weak muscles and skill development for neurological and neuromuscular impairment. Aquatic Therapy has been shown to decrease pain, enhance flexibility, improve circulation and relieve muscle spasms.
