Jason graduated high school from Putnam City North in 1997. He attended Oklahoma State University, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training, in 2002. Jason went on to Texas Woman’s University, a premier physical therapy school, and graduated with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 2004. He began his physical therapy career at Oklahoma Physical Therapy Spine Care-rehab in 2004. In 2009, he completed a fellowship in orthopedic manual therapy, which is one of the highest credentials that a physical therapist can obtain. He became manager of Oklahoma Physical Therapy Spine Care-Rehab in south Oklahoma City from 2006-2008. In 2008, he was given the opportunity to start-up a physical therapy clinic in Yukon, OK. He enjoyed this opportunity until he was offered the opportunity to become part-owner of Oklahoma Physical Therapy Spine Care-Rehab. Jason is the managing partner/director at the north location. Jason has a strong background and knowledge of spinal dysfunctions, but also knows sports injuries from his time as a student athletic trainer at Oklahoma State University.
Ben graduated with honors from Oklahoma Christian University in 2004, with a degree in mechanical engineering. He then served six years of active duty service as an officer in the U.S. Navy before electing to leave the military, honorably discharged. Following his military service, Ben wanted a career where he had a more direct and positive impact on peoples’ lives. He graduated from University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in 2013 with his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Ben’s approach to physical therapy reflects his love for mechanical function, problem solving, and people. Ben specializes in spinal dysfunction, complex dysfunctions, and orthopedic/sports rehabilitation. He truly considers his work to be his calling. Ben lives in his hometown of Choctaw, OK, where he opened Oklahoma Physical Therapy – Choctaw. He married the love of his life, Crystal, in 2004. They have two daughters: Caitlin, born 2011, and Cassidy, born 2013.
Mr. Derek Lehman is the managing physical therapist for Oklahoma Physical Therapy Spine Care-Rehab at the south OKC location. Derek grew up in Ardmore, OK, where he participated in a variety of sports and music activities, as well being active with his church. In 2008, he graduated with the distinction of Magna Cum Laude from Oklahoma State University in 2008 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nutritional Sciences with an option in Allied Health. He also married his beautiful wife, Nancy.
After his time at Oklahoma State, Derek was blessed with the opportunity to spend 10 months in Guaimaca, Honduras, where he had the privilege to live and work with the people of Orphanage Emmanuel. As he worked on the farm and health clinic, he was able to learn the language and culture, and gain valuable experience in team-building and problem solving skills, in and out of the medical realm. As result of this experience, Derek is able to use his Spanish-speaking skills to help to serve his vibrant Latino community here in Oklahoma City. Upon his return to the United States, he entered the physical therapy program at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City and graduated with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2013. Derek has a special interest in the areas of spinal dysfunction, orthopedics, sports medicine, and functionally-oriented care. While in physical therapy school, Nancy and Derek were blessed with their first daughter Ester, and second daughter, Lucy, 2 years later. Derek and his family, are very excited to live in the South OKC/Westmoore area, and to be a part of the warm and exciting community. As a physical therapist, he considers it an honor and a responsibility to be a part of your journey to a greater level of health. Whether you are recovering from a surgery, an unfortunate accident, or have just decided to take a step to begin dealing with pain that has limited your for years, Derek knows that empathy, skill, attention to detail, and an environment that encourages healing, are all equally important elements of care that you deserve.
Throughout his life; in a close-knit home town, work with his church family abroad and at home, and in the clinical setting; he has found that we all have valuable input when it comes to achieving the best possible result. Mackenzie Barnes earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas in 2017, where she graduated Cum Laude.
She has traveled around the country taking courses for Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation and is seeking her Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification (PRPC) to become one of few in the state of Oklahoma.
